It was my good fortune that my father was transferred to Athens while I was in high school. Growing up in Columbus and moving to Athens in 1971 was traumatic, but it gave me so much understanding for buyers and sellers moving from or to new surroundings, not knowing many and adjusting to a new community. Being a Realtor in Athens, I have the privilege to help new families and old friends with their most important investment.

- Married Barney Grueser in 1976, and together started a construction company that same year (B. Grueser Builder)
- Became a Realtor in 1986
- Opened her brokerage (Grueser Realty & Building) in 1997
- Treasurer of Athens County Board of Realtors 2000-2002
- President of Athens County Board of Realtors 2002-2005
- Director of Athens County Board of Realtors 2005-2015
- Member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce
